About A Hard Day’s Work
Woke up at 7:30 a.m. today but didn’t get up right away. I started thinking about what are my plans for this weekend? Clean the house again, I suppose. Do I need more lemon pledge?
I have coffee brewing for my customers. The aroma is ever -so enchanting. But I must resist. Putting the kettle on. Now brewing Twining’s Green Tea with Mint.
Yesterday was busy I only drink about a third cup of tea. Customers after customers, the day was blowing by pretty fast. Had one customer complain about the prices for our cigarettes to Sam’s Club/ Walmart.
Me- “Look, buddy, this is our price; don’t like it then move on.”
Customer- “No, I wanna get it but, y’all too high.”
Me- “No, YOU’RE HIGH! You smell awful, quit complaint and keep movin’ !”
Waves after waves of customers, I had one guy came in with a hooker. She said she’s engaged now. I laughed and said nothing about it.
A day like this, it would only be unlawful if I didn’t go the nail salon. Since I don’t have any friends here or family members to go with me, I was a little nervous. Of course the nail technician would also be Vietnamese, I’m really shy around unfamiliar faces. (On the internet, It’s different, I could be a 6’3” drag queen and only I would know it.”
Anyways, I was heavenly pleased with the service. MY TOES ARE CORAL PINK! My favorite color spectrum-ish and my eyebrows no longer look like two caterpillars going at it.
5 dollar tip for each service and I left like a whole new person.
Amazin innit?
